Aldert is trained in civil law. After a short career in administrative law and as a legal counsel, he became an attorney in 2000. He completed the Grotius specialisation course in Enterprise & Liability. His special expertise includes professional, directors’ and contractual liability. He also handles disciplinary cases for and against attorneys, civil law notaries and tax advisers.

In April 2024, Aldert completed the pension law course at the VU making him a Certified Pension Lawyer. Over the past years he has handled many a pension case for employees, employers and pension funds, the topics ranging from pension claims and liability for premiums to the scope and exemption of mandatory pension schemes.

Aldert is a lawyer-editorial member of Advocatenblad (Attorneys' Magazine). He is also a member of the Dutch Association for Procedural Law and the Dutch Association of Disciplinary Law Attorneys, Disciplina.
