Privacy

Ever since the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force, privacy has been a hot topic. Our firm acts as an advisor for clients who receive right of access requests, erasure requests (article 17 GDPR; the “right to be forgotten”), requests to destruct records and requests for compensation (article 82 GDPR). If the Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) imposes a fine on you, we can assist you in filing an objection or appeal.

Other legislation may hold specific rules on processing and retaining personal data as well, such as for example the Medical Treatment Agreement Act and the Social Support Act. Aside from playing an advisory role, we also regularly represent companies in privacy-related litigation matters.
